In 2007 SCE supplied Thiess with a Mobile Feed Hopper. This was part of the Onesteel, Project Magnet at Whyalla, South Australia.

This Mobile Feed Hopper was for the transfer of iron ore from the stockpile onto the overland conveyor. The wheel loader driver or the site control room needed to be able to remotely operate the feed hopper to move along the conveyor to the various graded stockpiles. It has a maximum travel distance of 175m along rails.
The Mobile Feed Hopper featured a Rocktec Apron Feeder with integrated Hopper, MCC and cable reeler. The Apron Feeder is 7.2m long with 1.2m wide pans and D4 salt chain running gear. With a capacity of over 150 tph.
